I. This is the front entrance of the auditorium. The fine detail etched into a golden plate is a trademark of art deco style. Lining almost every hallway in Shea High School are these green lockers. The soft green color that they're painted is only one of the many ways in which the renovations of the school have kept the art deco look. By: Shannon Demers III. Surrounding Shea High School is a neighborhood of Pawtucket, RI.The city was mostly built during the 1920s as a mill town. This would explain why there is in fact so much architecture in the city that has been built in art deco style. However, the city has since become quite urbanized due to its location next to Providence, RI (the capital). By: Sophia Forneris IV. As you can see here there are places in the school that are still in need of renovations. Like this locker, many no longer have doors, and they should be replaced so that they can be used.
